The Parliament discusses a resolution on the situation in media, prepared by United National Movement.  Goka Gabashvili has introduced the draft and underlined that the broadcasting company can not be closed in Georgia, just as it happened in Russia.

"Georgia is not Russia. Rustavi2 can not be closed just as НТВ,  in exchange for shares of Gazprom.It will be followed  by a very serious protest. It is funny argument, that there is a private person, who is a brother of the majority member accidently and accidently whole Georgian Dream, the former PM- Bidzina Ivanishvili, the current PM- Irakli Garibashvili, the Vice PM- Kakhi Kaladze, whole parliamentary majority- support him .  And everyone else- international organizations, The US State Department,  the  Council of Europe, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Georgian NGOs, political parties, including the parties, which are against us and don"t show sympathy to the editorial policy of Rustavi2 -everyone just went crazy. There is only one wise men on 20-30, who knows how Georgian media should behave,"- said Goka Gabashvili.
