Free Democrats appeal to the government and requests  to stop restriction of free speech. party members say that the situation in the country is tough . Irakli Chikovani held a briefing on the issue.

 "The recent media developments, in particular what is happening in TV Imedi, Maestro, Public Broadcaster and Rustavi 2, can only mean that the  government  has  started a   restriction of media for gaining control over it.  This means that Government is fighting against  the freedom of speech and democracy . The Free Democrats have always said that the Rustavi 2 has a biased editorial policy . But  Rustavi2 is beyond Governmental control. For the  democratic society an independent media is necessary. The process goes to sharp confrontation, which may be followed by e violent actions ," -said Irakli Chikovani.

Irakli Chikovani addressed  the judiciary, and asked to let the respondent to use all legal opportunities and time for using all judicial bodies in the case if the    Claimant"s request will be satisfied.
