In case of demand, the whole of Georgia can be supplied with Azerbaijani natural gas ,stated SOCAR Georgia- Director General today.

Director General of the SOCAR Georgia Gas Mahin Mamedov has responded to the Georgian Energy Minister"s statement.

Mahin Mamedov said that Azerbaijan almost fully supplies the Georgian population with gas.

Interfax-Azerbaijan reported that Mamedov made the mentioned statement in response to Energy Minister Kakha Kaladze who said that the gas supplied was not enough for Georgia and that is why the Georgian side decided to launch talks with Gazprom. Mahir Mammadov said Kakha Kaladze"s statement, when he said the talks with Gazprom for gas from Azerbaijan to the lack of explanation.

Despite Mahir Mammadov`s statement, Kaladze again spoke about the  need for additional volumes of natural gas.
Kakhi Kaladze"s arguments are convincing for the majority.

Tamaz Mechiauri believes that the Energy Minister knows better the country`s needs.

The opposition believes that Mamedov`s statement reaffirmed political motive of .the negotiations with Gazprom.
