If opposition parties wish to survive and remain relevant in politics, they must take their seats in the Parliament. Such a statement made today the Mayor of Tbilisi, while commenting on the opposition intentions to renounce mandates.
“We have heard numerous conflicting statements in recent days. I believe this is merely a typical campaign tactic and a form of posturing on their part before their voters.
However, I am confident they will eventually join parliament. At this moment, this discourse is dull. There are many other matters to address; we have made numerous promises, and many issues require resolution.
What the opposition decides to do in the future - whether they join parliament or not - does not significantly affect us. However, it is crucial for their survival. If these political parties want to remain in the political arena, they must enter parliament”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
