Students begin collecting signatures on a petition for the protection of freedom of speech in Georgia,

Various higher education institutions - including the StateUniversity , Ilia, Caucasus and Black Sea University students say that despite political affiliation, they consider it their duty to express a clear position on the recent developments in the media.

They call on the authorities to refrain from any form of media restrictions.
