Nika Gvaramia, a General Director of Rustavi2 made a statement a few minutes ago.

" The process has escalated in recent days and the government of Georgia will be responsible, which made everything  to force Rustavi2 to defend itself and use all kinds of  methods to protect  freedom of speech. The government of Georgia has left Rustavi2 without a fair trial . They  forced us to look for ways to ensure protection of our freedoms, despite the conditions, in which the government puts us, continuous pressure, blackmailing and  defamation. However, Georgia"s political forces have different views on the further actions of Rustavi2. We listen to everyone, but make our decisions.

We can not represent our plans to the government, because the government is against us.  Rustavi2 does not think about the revolutionary scenario neither in the present nor in future.  It is not our competence and our interest. Our only interest is  free TV coverage,"- said Nika Gvaramia.
