The Public board which will control the policy of Rustavi 2 will hold .the first session today.The non-governmental organizations comprising the board shall monitor the the editorial policy in order toguard the channel from political influence.

The Board will operate within the framework of self-regulation mechanism of the channel, and will give recommendations on the direction of public and politica affairs. It will also detects violations and to provide recommendations on the elimination of these violations.

Young Lawyers" Association, which has agreed to be a member of the board , proposes to establish the criteria by which the rest of the members of the board are to be elected.
