300 Drivers are on strike in Rustavi - They ask to reduce taxes

Nearly 300 drivers went on strike in Rustavi with a demand to reduce taxes from 65 to 45 GEL.

The drivers refused to work today. The company had to start negotiations.

A Rustavi mayor states that if the drivers will not stop the strike he will be forced to offer alternative transport to citizens.

The incident which took place yesterday was followed by the protest. A driver failed to accomplish daily tax yesterday and had a conflict with a representative of Intertrans.

One of the directors of the company confirmed the incident, but explained that a person who had conflict with the driver was not their employees.
