"It is not too late yet for the government to take correct steps ," - Kenneth Yalowitz

Former US Ambassador Kenneth Yalowitz negatively assessed the widespread phone records in connection with Rustavi 2 and said that any call for disorder is bad.

Former US ambassador to Georgia, said that the government should listen to the western countries` and partners` friendly advice.

Yalowitz said, the government still has time to take correct steps.

"It is not too late yet for the government to take correct steps. If they act quickly to correct the situation, follow the Court"s decisions in an open, transparent way and with respect for the rule of law, then they will be able to overcome the deadlock. Otherwise, it will be a blow to the government.

I can not talk to you on behalf of the EU, but I still hope that they will go ahead with the issue of visa-free regime, which is very important for Goergia`s integration. We do not order the government what to do. We try to explain it as good friends and close advisers. These are issues that are in your best interest, "- said Ken Yalowitz.
