Georgian muftis commented on their contact with Islamic terrorist organizations. According to them, Islam is against terrorism and violence and it is unacceptable to connect they with each other.
"We condemn any violence. Islam is not violent and Muslim is not a terrorist. If someone is hiding behind the religion , we shouldn"t link it to Islam,"- said Beglas Kamashidze, a mufti of western Georgia.
Iasin Alyiev, a mufti of the western Georgia also distanced himself from the terror attacks.
