The French Ambassador has thanked the Georgian people for their support. In order to express gratitude for support and the media coverage of the terrorist act in Paris, Ambassador  Renaud Salins visited today Georgian Broadcasting companies.Mr. Renaud Salins met with the First Deputy Director General of Rustavi 2 TV, Zaal Udumashvili.

"Everyone is aware that we are under constant threat. The problem is that no one knows when, how and where the terrorists will act again. France is one of the main targets, because it plays an important role in the fight against the Islamic State, but it is not the only reason, the French culture is at odds with this group`s ideology in all aspects. France represents everything that these people hate. I can not call them worriers, because they kill innocent people. But the French people say that they will not change thier way of life, because they think that these people should not be dictating to them how to live, "- says Mr. Renaud Salins.

French Ambassador spoke about the support that Georgia has rendered in the last few days. Renaud Salins stressed the important role that Georgia plays in the fight against terror. He underlined that he had received condolences from the government, the opposition, religious leaders, just from the ordinary people;several buildings in Tbilisi were illuminated in the French flag colors, the French national anthem was played by Rustavi 2 TV.

According to the Ambassador of France, the French offices were under reinforced security measures. Tomorrow, a book of condolences will open at the City Council building.
