The National Environmental Agency [NEA] warns the population about the expected weather.
According to the agency, Georgia will experience scattered rainfall from August 12-14 against a backdrop of relatively high temperatures, with possible thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds.
Meteorologists report that Tbilisi can expect brief showers with thunderstorms on August 12, while August 13-14 will see clear weather. Daytime temperatures will reach +30 to +32 degrees.
"The expected precipitation may cause flash floods on small rivers of Eastern Georgia, and in hilly and mountainous areas, the initiation and activation of landslide-sandstorm processes [danger level – medium]", - adds the NEA.
