The Prime Minister of Georgia congratulates pupils, students, teachers and parents on the start of the new academic year.

I wholeheartedly congratulate you on the start of the new academic year. I would like to especially congratulate those who are entering school or university for the very first time this year and embarking on one of the most responsible, yet also most exciting, stages of life.

Education is a continuous process - a path toward developing critical thinking, discovering one"s potential and most importantly, becoming a dignified citizen.

On this path, the main companions of the younger generation are teachers and professors. I thank them for their tireless work. I also extend my gratitude to parents and families, whose support and encouragement are a tremendous source of strength for their children.

In the face of the challenges of the modern world, it is precisely quality education that serves as the cornerstone of our country"s unity, development and strength. For this reason, supporting education remains one of the top priorities of our government.
