The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture announces 401 Forest Ranger vacancies within the system of the National Forestry Agency [NFA].

The vacancies are announced as part of the forestry reform, which aims to strengthen forest protection and improve forest management practices.

As part of the reform, over 1.7 million hectares of forest land have been divided into 903 ranger beats/districts.

Each district will be assigned to a forest ranger with personal responsibility. To strengthen forest protection and control, a total of 499 new employees will join the NFA system, 401 of whom will be forest rangers.

“As part of the NFA reform, the forest protection component is being strengthened. To eliminate illegal logging, over 1.7 million hectares of territory have been divided into 903 ranger districts, which will be entrusted to forest rangers with personal responsibility. To enhance control, 499 new personnel will be added to the system, 401 of which are forest ranger positions. Interested candidates have the opportunity to interview at the respective regional forestry services and secure employment as forest rangers”, -said Besik Amiranashvili, Head of the NFA.

Those interested in applying for the forest ranger position must submit their personal details by August 20 of this year to the NFA’s email: [email protected]. Applications are open to adult citizens who have completed full general secondary education.
