The Defense Ministry held a meeting on the national security issues. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Defense and experts.

The Defense Ministry explained that the cooperation with the civil sector is particularly relevant to the defense and security regarding the challenges of radical Islam, .

The director of the Center for Strategic Studies of the Caucasus, Mamuka Areshidze said that the Ministry has important functions in dealig with elimination of the risks.
