The EU Ambassador should distance himself from and condemn what is happening on the streets of Tbilisi - Prime Minister

The EU Ambassador to Georgia has a special responsibility to publicly express goodwill, distance himself, and strongly condemn the events taking place on the streets of Tbilisi. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia.

"This is his direct responsibility, especially given the statements we have heard that openly support an attempt to overthrow the constitutional order.

They may have their own obligations. When someone acts as a foreign agent, they have no independence - they must follow instructions. Otherwise, such actions would be unthinkable.

I do not have a high opinion of their intelligence, but I also cannot believe they would behave this way unless bound by external directives.

The only explanation is that they act as foreign agents, unconditionally carrying out the assignments given to them, regardless of the consequences. We have even seen specific individuals abroad openly supporting this declared attempt to overthrow the constitutional order. Among them, an EU spokesperson publicly expressed support for the rally that carries this very title.

Against this backdrop, the EU Ambassador to Georgia bears an even greater responsibility to take a clear stance: to distance himself from these events and strongly condemn them.

We will see how they respond to this challenge", - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
