The Procedural Issues Committee discussed the application on the registration of the Faction "For Georgia" and the enclosed material, and resolved that the submitted material corresponds with the requirements of paragraph 2, Article 50, and paragraph 3, Article 51 of the Rules of Procedure.
Stemming from the aforementioned, the Committee considered the registration of the Faction "For Georgia" as expedient.
As David Matikashvili, Chair of the Committee, elucidated, the Faction shall consist of ten members and will be chaired by Shalva Kereselidze.
Matikashvili informed the Committee members about the fulfillment of the assignments envisaged under the transitional provisions of the national legislation and the Parliamentary resolutions: "In order to scrutinize the information about the fulfillment of the assignments envisaged under the transitional provisions of the Laws adopted by the current convocation of the Parliament within the established term, the Procedural Issues Committee served 47 reminders to various Committees. The Committee also controlled the fulfillment of 182 assignments envisaged under 82 laws. The major part of the assignments has been fulfilled, specifically, 131 tasks under 67 laws, while 51 tasks under 15 laws are pending. As for the assignments envisaged under the transitional provisions that cannot be fulfilled within the established term, the Committee will ensure the constant control thereon".
