Infrastructural projects planned in Gudauri for the winter season will contribute to increasing Gudauri’s tourism potential - Levan Darsalia

All these projects will contribute to both attracting tourists and boosting Gudauri`s tourism potential. Levan Darsalia, Acting Director of the Mountain Trails Agency (MTA), said this while talking about the infrastructure projects planned in Gudauri for the 2026–2027 winter season.

As he noted, the implementation of significant infrastructure projects is planned in Gudauri for the 2026–2027 winter season.

"We plan to equip two ski slopes, with a total length of 7,500 meters, with an artificial snowmaking system. Additionally, the installation of two new T-bar ski lifts with a total length of 1,400 meters and a 200-meter covered moving carpet lift in the snowpark area is scheduled. The dismantling of old ski lifts – "Khada" and "Snowpark" - is also planned. Furthermore, we intend to illuminate the "New Gudauri" slope, which will support the development of night skiing, as well as set up two additional slopes – "Tatra 3" and "Kobi 3" - with a total length of 6 km”, - said Levan Darsalia.

The total cost of the projects amounts to GEL 31 million, and their implementation is planned by December 15.
