Employees of the Border Management and Coordination Main Division of the Patrol Police Department have arrested three Iranian citizens on charges of attempting to cross the state border of Georgia illegally and using fake documents.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, law enforcement officers detained the foreign nationals at Tbilisi International Airport while they were attempting to cross the state border of Georgia illegally by using fake documents.
The investigation is ongoing under Article 19-344, Parts 1 and 2, and Article 362, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which carries a punishment of up to 5 years of imprisonment.
