President of European rugby arrived in Tbilisi in the early hours today. The visit of Octavian Morarius coincides with developments around rugby union of Georgia.

Rugby Union presidential elections are to be held on December 20. According to reports, the election will likely be postponed.

As is known, there no longer are candidates for the presidency of the Union. Irakli Abuseridze and Gia Nizharadze withdrew their candidacies yesterday.

The issue of the legitimacy of the election became questionable after the special statement of the Rugby Union. The members of the Union, talked about the pressure from the officials in connection with upcoming elections and attempts to promote the desirable for them candidate.
