Parliamentary delegation of Georgia discussed Georgia-EU relations in the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg

Within the framework of the visit to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Parliament of Georgia, and Levan Makhashvili, Chairman of the EU Integration Committee, held an expanded meeting in the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg.

The meeting was hosted by Gusty Graas, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Luxembourg Chamber of Deputies, and Marc Hansen, Chairman of the Defense Committee. Members of various other committees of the Luxembourg Parliament also participated in the expanded format.

The parties discussed in detail the dynamics of Georgia-EU relations over the past years as well as future plans. It was emphasized that resetting relations is in the interest of both sides and that they will continue efforts in this direction. Additionally, the members of the Georgian and Luxembourgish parliaments reviewed the situation in the Russian-occupied regions, ongoing political, security, and economic developments in Georgia and the Black Sea region, as well as a wide spectrum of bilateral ties.
