Partnership relations between Georgia and North Macedonia as well as bilateral cooperation matters were discussed at the meeting between the President of Georgia and the President of Assembly of North Macedonia.

The meeting focused on the prospects for deepening cooperation in economy, trade, connectivity, education, culture and people-to-people relations.

Mikheil Kavelashvili and Afrim Gashi underlined the importance of the Black Sea region and the Western Balkans connectivity, including the development of safe and reliable transit routes and economic corridors.

President of Georgia thanked President of Assembly of North Macedonia for support for Georgia`s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as its non-recognition policy of the Russian-occupied regions of Georgia.

Mikheil Kavelashvili expressed confidence that cooperation between the two countries would continue successfully in the future.
