Tbilisi Airport customs officers prevent the undeclared import of gold coins

Customs officers at the Ministry of Finance of Georgia Revenue Service’s Tbilisi Airport Customs Clearance Zone prevented the undeclared import of gold coins. During a detailed inspection of the hand luggage belonging to a foreign citizen, customs officers discovered five gold coins (with a total weight of 71 grams) subject to mandatory customs declaration.

The total customs value of the goods amounted to GEL 24,840.

The case materials concerning the offending individual have been forwarded to the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia for further legal action.
