Central Asia is a region of particular interest for Georgia. In this context, we view Turkmenistan as a reliable partner and a friendly state. The Prime Minister of Georgia said this at a joint briefing with the President of Turkmenistan.

"I am pleased to host the President of Turkmenistan - His Excellency Serdar Berdimuhamedov - here in Georgia. It is noteworthy that this is the second state visit by a President of Turkmenistan to Georgia. The first such visit took place in 2015, when our country welcomed Mr. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

I am confident that President Berdimuhamedov`s visit will make a significant contribution to the further development of Georgia-Turkmenistan relations. Today, we signed a Joint Statement, as well as a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding on cooperation across various fields, which will further strengthen the ties between our two countries.

I also had the opportunity to hold a one-on-one meeting with President Berdimuhamedov, during which we discussed the key areas of Georgia-Turkmenistan relations and exchanged views on current regional and international issues on the agenda.

Central Asia is a region of particular interest for Georgia. In this context, we view Turkmenistan as a reliable partner and a friendly state. The relations established between our countries are based on many years of friendship and mutual respect, which provide a solid foundation for further cooperation", - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
