Prime Minister of Georgia and President of Turkmenistan lead expanded bilateral talks with Government delegations

Following the one-on-one meeting between Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia and Serdar Berdimuhamedov, President of Turkmenistan expanded talks were held at the Government Administration of Georgia with the participation of members of the governments of both countries.

The meeting focused on a broad range of topics related to bilateral cooperation across various sectors.

The parties discussed the importance of deepening trade and economic cooperation and fully realizing the existing potential between the two countries. In this context, they highlighted the role of the Georgia-Turkmenistan Intergovernmental Commission. The two sides reaffirmed their readiness to continue close cooperation both in the bilateral format and within international organizations.

The discussions also covered cooperation in the fields of transport and transit. Particular attention was paid to promoting the development of the Middle Corridor and to the importance of strengthening partnership in this area. Following the expanded meeting Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia and Serdar Berdimuhamedov, President of Turkmenistan signed a Joint Statement.

Memoranda of Cooperation were also signed between the relevant institutions of the two countries in the fields of finance, economy and transport, as well as healthcare, education and culture. The Prime Minister of Georgia and the President of Turkmenistan attended the document exchange ceremony.
