Christmas procession in Tbilisi

Christmas procession is in Tbilisi - a solemn procession started from Rose square a few minutes ago. The pilgrims have already gone through Rustaveli avenue.

Donations are collected for orphanages and shelters for vulnerable people.

The procession will end at the Holy Trinity Cathedral where the festive church service will be given by the Patriarch.

Christmas procession tradition was restored in Georgia in 2000 on the initiative of the Patriarch
