The Chairperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Giorgi Kalandarishvili, met with members of the District Election Commissions in the Kvemo Kartli region.

The working meeting was held by Giorgi Kalandarishvili at the Dmanisi District Election Commission. He received first-hand information from the Dmanisi and Tsalka District Election Commissions on their ongoing and planned activities in preparation for the October 3 Sakrebulo By-elections.

The CEC Chairperson also discussed various important electoral issues with the meeting participants.

Similar meetings will continue in the run-up to the October 3 elections. The CEC leadership will gradually review the preparations of the Akhmeta, Vani, Tsalka and Dmanisi District Election Commissions for the by-elections.

As a reminder, by-elections for the Sakrebulos of the municipalities of Vani, Tsalka, Dmanisi and Akhmeta will be held on October 3. A total of seven polling stations will be opened for the by-elections, four of which will use electronic voter verification and vote-counting devices. Voters will elect four majoritarian members of the Sakrebulos of the respective municipalities.
