Today, nearly half a century has passed since "Chakrulo" began its cosmic journey. The US Embassy in Georgia writes this on the social media.
"On August 20, 1977, from the Cape Canaveral Space Center in Florida, NASA launched the Voyager 2 spacecraft, which carried the "Golden Record" into deep space. This record served as a message from Earth in the event that another civilization might one day discover it. Through the music, photographs, and greetings recorded on it, the finder would be able to learn what the world was like from which this spacecraft was launched. It was among the pieces selected by the American team that the Georgian "Chakrulo" was included.
Thus, the unique Georgian polyphony became a part of humanity`s shared message", - writes the Embassy.
