The Head of the Emergency Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Temur Mgebrishvili, hosted Major General Richard "Dwayne" Wilson, the Adjutant General of the U.S. State of Georgia National Guard.
During the meeting, the parties summarized the results of their long-standing cooperation and discussed directions for strengthening future collaboration.
As a result of the cooperation between the Emergency Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the United States Military Liaison Office [MLO], the technical and special capabilities of the Service have been improved.
Furthermore, firefighters and rescuers underwent significant training and professional education across various areas.
The meeting was attended by Sofio Imerlishvili, Director of the International Relations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and senior officials of the Emergency Management Service, as well as representatives from the U.S. State of Georgia National Guard and the Military Liaison Office.
