IDPs went on hunger strike in Zugdidi

After a three-day rally in Zugdidi, IDPs residing in a former hospital building started a hunger strike.

In this form they protest against annuling of social assistance to 50 families and poor living conditions.

Among the requirements is a requirment to meet with members of the government of Abkhazia.

Whereas the Social Service Agency of the Ministry of Health has stated that the social assistance for the IDPs was not stopped - it was temporarily suspended in order to conduct regular check up.
