Officers of Guria Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested one person on charges of premeditated murder.

The investigation established that on August 28, the accused person broke into the house of a citizen in the village of Nasakirali, Ozurgeti Municipality, with the aim of premeditated murder. He inflicted life-threatening, multiple injuries to a woman in the house with a cold steel and fled the scene.

The woman died at the scene of the incident as a result of the injuries inflicted.

As part of the investigative actions carried out by law enforcement officers, the perpetrator of the crime was arrested as an accused person.

The investigation is underway under Article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, envisioning the imprisonment for a term of up to 15 years.
