The National Food Agency has uncovered an illegal animal slaughterhouse in Vani.

As part of the state control, inspectors from the Imereti Department conducted an unannounced inspection of “Shuamta” LLC (Address: Z. Gamsakhurdia N 2, Shuamta village, Vani). The inspection revealed critical non-compliances at the facility. At the same time, it was discovered that the business operator was slaughtering piglets without the mandatory recognition and registration in the Registry of Economic Activities.

Due to the identified non-compliances, the facility was fined and its production process was suspended.

The National Food Agency urges business operators to conduct their activities in compliance with the legislation and established food safety requirements.
