State Flag Day celebrated today

State Flag Day is celebrated in Georgia on January 14 . Its celebration has already begun in the .regions At 8 o"clock, the State Flag was erected at theEnguri bridge and in the memorial of cadets n Batumi. Similarly, flags will be hoisted in Akhaltsikhe, Kazbegi, Akhmeta, Lagodekhi and other cities.

A ceremonial reception will be held at the Presidential Palace. A specially prepared for this day the original flag, will be symbolically erected on the presidential palace , after whichit will be kept at a specially allocated place in the President"s Palace.

The national flag day ,was introduced on January 14, 2004, when the Parliament approved of the Organic Law on "State flag". The State Flag Day was celebrated for the first time in 2012.
