The Asian Development Bank raised its forecast for Georgia’s economic growth in 2026 from 5.5% to 6.3%

The Asian Development Bank [ADB] raised its forecast for Georgia`s economic growth in 2026 from 5.5% to 6.3%, citing stronger-than-expected economic activity in the first half of 2026.

As the ADB says, economic growth exceeded expectations, driven by strong performance in the services sector, consumption and exports.

"Georgia`s economic growth exceeded expectations, supported by strong growth in the services sector, consumption and exports.

Given that economic activity was higher than expected and regional spillovers remain limited, the 2026 growth forecast has been raised from 5.5% to 6.3%, while the 2027 forecast remains unchanged at 5.2%", - reads the ADB`s report.
