Detected cases of  swine flu in Georgia exceeds 8000 but experts explain that it is not an alarming margin. The National Centre of Disease Control explains  the indicator at this point  is not even close to  the epidemic situation.

"Now we have 250 cases per 100 thousand of population, the margin in case of an epidemic is 500 or more, "- said Paata Imnadze.

As Iashvili clinic director Ivan Chkhaidze said previously recorded cases were not severe. Now at Iashvili Clinic only three children with confirmed flu virus are being treated.

Head of the National Center for Disease Control Amiran Gamkrelidze said that the flu virus is dangerous for people who have certain chronic diseases such as chronic cardiovascular disease, chronic lung disease, as well as people who are undergoing dialysis and so on .
