Negotiation on finding solution to Syrian crisis officially started in Geneva. The first meeting lasted for 2 hours and was attended by representatives of the United Nations.

The UN mediators suggest that by 11 February a concrete result should be achieved.

Earlier, the talks failed a couple of times because of the Syrian opposition. They were demanding to ensure humanitarian conditions from Assad regime .
