The Regulatory Commission held a sitting on possibility of  purchasing the retail segment of Caucasus Online by VimpelCom . The  Chairman of the Commission, asks guarantees from  both of the companies that the company is interested only in    retail assets and not in the Black Sea cable. According to Beeline Director General Giorgi Tkeshelashvili, VimpelCom is not interested in purchasing fiber-optic channel. As IPN was told by the company director, they consider purchasing only a retail segment, meaning that the Beeline company will buy only "Caucasus TV" and wired internet service.

"The process is transparent and the list of company"s assets, which may be sold, was sent to the Georgian National Communications Commission. The list does not include the Black Sea main channel, and therefore, it is not part of negotiations", - Tkeshelashvili said.

When asked of whether the selling of the main channel might be put on the agenda, he said the company does not want to do it.
