Low-cost airline operator Wizz Air said it will open a base at Kutaisi airport in Georgia and add seven new routes from late September.
The base at David the Builder International Airport in Kutaisi, Georgia’s second largest city, will have one A320 aircraft, Wizz Air said on February 17.
Starting from September, Wizz Air, which entered Georgian market in 2012, plans to launch new twice-weekly service from Kutaisi to Berlin, Munich, Dortmund, Milan, Larnaca and Sofia, while flights between Kutaisi and Thessaloniki will be flown three times a week. The budget airline already operates services from Kutaisi to Budapest, Vlinius and Warsaw.
The National Movement says that the airport development project belongs to them and they blame the present and former PMs for the delay of the project.
