Georgian Muslims rally in Ajara- part of believers asked Government to resolve problems

Georgian Muslims held a warning demonstration in front of the Ajara government building.

After the traditional Friday prayers, the believers asked the government to solve three issues - they requested allocation of territory for building a new mosque in Batumi, punishment of those who partcipiated in Adigeni incident and openning of a Muslim boarding school in Kobuleti.

The protesters say the government has been in no hurry to solve the accumulated problems, and if they do not get the answers, the protest rallies will become more active.

The rally was not attended by the Mufti Beglar Kamashidze. He said he was not informed about the protest rally. He did not see the need of holding the rally, because the Mufti believes that the government is aware of the problems. The government has not responded to the protest rally.
