A Prime Minister of Georgia makes a first statement on the ongoing developments at Tbilisi State University. Giorgi Kvirikashvili called on Giorgi Gaprindashvili to withdraw his candidacy. The ruling party joins the Prime Minister"s announcement however denies contact with the recent developments at Tbilisi State University.

Non-governmental organizations claim that such announcement is interference in the process which is underway at the University.
