Giorgi Gaprindashvili, a candidate for the position of Tbilisi State University"s Chancellor removed his candidacy. He made a decision after the meeting of Academic Council.
" I remove my candidacy in favor of the University. The university must return to normal- educational and research environment,"-said Gaprindashvili.

He also responded on the accusations and states that they are absurd and untrue.
