At Prime Minister`s instruction, the Minister of Education, Tamar Sanikidze, listened to the positions of all parties at State Universit and requested them to take responsibility for their own actions.

Sanikidze said that the university authorities failed to calm down the situation.

"Both sides have to agree on what is the problem and it would be nice if we decide today what we are doing because ths cannot contnue.The university failed to provide even elementary security, "- said Tamar Sanikidze.

University rector, Lado Papava, welcomes the Prime Minister"s statement and speaks about the need to defuse the situation.

Representatives of local governments advised the rector to compromise . As they said to the Courier, if the rector resigned, they were ready to respond by declaring early elections of the students` government.
