Clash in Philippines - 23 people are killed

23 people were killed and 73 were injured during a clash in the Philippines. According to the country"s Ministry of Defense, the armed forces attacked 120-strong detachment of the extremist group of the Islamic State.

The operation lasted for 10 hours. Among the victims are 18 soldiers from the Philippines. The head of the Philippine armed forces visited the wounded soldiers in the hospital and pledged to continue to fight against terrorist groups.
