The Court of Appeals considered the motions filed by the Rustavi 2 lawyers today. The lawyers and the General Director requested the resucal of two judges of the panel, but none were satisfied by the court.

The discussion of Natia Gujabidze`s recusal lasted for almost three hours,one hour was devoted to the panel members meetng. Although the lawyers and Gvaramia explained in detail their request, the Court refused to challenge Gujabidze.

This is the judge, whose non-governmental organization was the only one which supported Tamaz Urtmelidze`s decisions, blaming Rustavi 2 in attacking Urtmelidze. After Gujabidze the panel received the same decision on the recusal of Shorena Kaavelashvili.

In addition, according to lawyers , judge Gujabidze is a group mate and a friend of Thea Tsulukiani.The information was denied by Gujabidze.

The Chairman explained that the statements issued by the Union of Judges in support of Urtmelidze and which were drafted by Gujabidze do not prove her interest in the case shedegisadmi could not prove.
