About ten cars, which were decorated with the so-called Georgievski ribbons and with the Russian flags, crossed the Georgia-Russia border in the first half of the day. As the tourists, explained they wanted to tour Georgia, as for the Russian symbols, they explained that these were signs of Russian-Georgian friendship.The Georgian border guards did not ask anything about occupant`s symbols.

Free movement of tourists with Russian symbols is considered as a provocative act by Irakli Tabliashvili, a political and media expert who believes that the government should increase its control. Former Minister of Culture, Nika Rurua believes that moving on the territory of Georgia with Russian symbols is a direct violation of the occupation law.

Tourists, who spoke to the Courie, said they were not going to remove the symbols during 10 days of planned journey .
