Forty families left without property- the prosecutor"s office has already begun intense interrogations and the investigation to study the legality of the registered plots of land of Bakuriani residents. Several of them were arrested on charges of misappropriation of land.

The locals accuse prosecution of Javakheti of pressure, blackmail and extortion of property .
The arrests and then release of Bakuriani residents in exchange for property in the tourist part are confirmed by Irakli Baramidze. The plaintiffs` lawyer said that several persons are kept in detention for illegal appropriation of land at this time and those who were relesed had to give up ther property under pressure of the prosecutor"s office.

The local prosecutor"s office did not respond to the allegations. The population of Javakheti held a rally at the Prosecutor"s Office .
