NGOs demand investigationof Kortskheli precinct 53 incident

Young Lawyers Association and Fair elections calls on the law enforcement agencies to ensure effective investigation of the case and severely punish perpetrators.
According to the organization, clashes took place between the leaders of the National Movement and some strangers in the village of Kortskheli today, during which the strangers that presented themselves as tourists, damaged the equipments of reporters.

“Few of police officers tried to defuse the situation, though they could not timely take preventive measures. The offenders left the area so that the police officers neither detained nor questioned them”, the NGO says.

GYLA said in a statement that the young lawyers, representatives witnessed the incident.The statement also says that these facts have adverse effects on the competitive and equal election environment.
