Civil sector has issued a special statement in connection with increasing number of homophobic crimes.Twelve non-governmental organization called on the government to immediately take effective measures to prevent crime and ensure safe and peaceful environment. They call on the political parties to refrain from using homophobic language.

NGOs speak about recent several concrete facts.

"We believe that homophobic audes and the increase in violence, is the result , on the one hand, of the political, religious and extremist groups` activities, and on the other hand, the state`s essentially ineffective, discriminatory andnon secular policy," - the statement says.
