The diplomatic corps  are talking about the need to protect Rustavi 2`s editorial independence and   media pluralism. 

Another comment was made by the United States Ambassador. According to him, the judicial process should be transparent, impartial and protected from any kind of political interference. 

"The most important is that the Rustavi-2 is  allowed to  maintain editorial independence, not to change its editorial policy in this election year and  to be focused on elections. It is especially important in the case of Rustavi 2 and the absolute priority is that all political parties should  have access to the media, including Rustavi 2. The trial should be open, transparent and objective and we do not want to see  any kind of political interference. The electoral environment will be damaged if  the country"s biggest television is closed  or  the management  is changed, "- Ambassador Kelly said. 

Turkish ambassador Levent Gümrükçü also commented on Rustavi-2 issue. 

" We are watching closely Rustavi 2"s case and have constant contact with our Georgian  colleagues," - said Levent Gümrükçü.
