Rustavi2 has got documents, which indicate that the panel of judges of the Court of Appeal which considered the case of Rustavi 2 is legally incompetent to consider the civil case.

According to the document received from the High Council at the request of Rustavi2 , the member of the panel of judges , Shorena Kavelashvili passed in on June 18, 2005 the Judicial exam in criminal law, according to the law,f Kavlashvili had no right to be in the composition of the panel of judges considering Rustavi 2 case, which is a civil dispute litigation.

The Court of Appeals has published a special announcement on the issue. " Judge Shorena Kavelashvili has graduated 18-month course at the High School of Justice and has passed the exams successfully, which proves her skills in the civil law. In addition, the judge Kavelshvili has examined more than 1000 civil cases ,"- is stated in an announcement.

Rustavi2"s lawyers believe that the documents received from the Council of Justice are basis for recusing the judge.

The decision on Rusrtavi2 case will be announced tomorrow.
